Learn how to download, log in, fix issues, recover your wallet, and stay safe while using Ledger® Live Desktop or App.
The Ledger® Live Wallet is the official companion application for all Ledger® hardware devices. It provides a secure and user-friendly interface to manage your cryptocurrencies, monitor balances, and validate transactions across multiple blockchains. Whether you prefer using Ledger Live Desktop on your computer or the Ledger Live App on your mobile, the experience remains streamlined and privacy-oriented.
Always download Ledger® Live from official sources to ensure safety. Visit the Ledger® website to download the desktop version compatible with your OS (Windows, macOS, or Linux). Mobile users can find the Ledger Live App on Google Play or the Apple App Store. Once installed, connect your Ledger® device using a USB cable or Bluetooth (for supported devices) and complete the setup by following on-screen prompts for Ledger Live login.
The login process for Ledger® Live doesn’t rely on traditional passwords. Instead, access is secured through your hardware wallet’s PIN and confirmation actions directly on the device. This ensures that your private keys never leave the hardware wallet. You can use Ledger® Live to add multiple crypto accounts, track portfolio performance, and manage staking, swaps, and updates—all within a single interface.
If you encounter issues during login or connection, try the following:
If you’re trying to “connect Trezor to Ledger®,” note that the two are different ecosystems. You can’t directly use a Trezor device inside Ledger® Live. However, if your recovery seed is compatible (following BIP39 standards), you can restore the same wallets on a Ledger® device—only do this with full understanding of the process and never share your recovery phrase online.
Ledger® relies on a 24-word recovery phrase for account recovery, not on traditional passwords or 2FA methods. If your device is lost or damaged, you can restore your wallet using this phrase on a new Ledger® device. Ledger® itself does not offer a “2FA reset” feature—if 2FA issues arise with an exchange or external platform, contact that service directly.
For persistent errors, connection failures, or firmware issues, visit the official Ledger® Help Center. You can find verified troubleshooting guides, contact options, and official resources there. Never engage with unverified support links or respond to random messages on social media claiming to represent Ledger®.
